UGG is known for its distinctive sheepskin boots for men and women. These sheepskin boots began to gain in popularity in the 60's when surfers wore them as the perfect remedy for their cold, wet feet. In the 70's the UGG brand was founded in Southern California by Australian Brian Smith who loved the sheepskin boots. UGG gained traction in the 2000's as one of Oprah's Favorite Things,and has never looked back.
